Here’s another photo of the Birdcage Panel that shows more of the unusual figures that are found here. These are the three most prominent figures found at the site. The one on the left looks like a birdcage (or R2D2) which I believe is how this panel received it’s name. There’s also a few bird feet petroglyphs pecked into the wall which could have also helped with the name of the site.

Doll House Granary
A small granary tucked underneath a low alcove in the Doll House area of Canyonlands National Park. I hiked to this one in the spring when I spent a few days in the Maze. I think this one looked much better in black and white.
Moab Cutouts
Here’s a portion of another petroglyph panel near Moab that I revisited over the weekend. There’s a few very cool panels located up here above the Colorado River, but unfortunately there is also a lot of vandalism and graffiti up here, too…
